Alpine regions receive Federal funding boost

Thursday, 17th February 2022

I take this opportunity to congratulate all local community members across the Alpine regions and thank them for all the hard work they have done. Without your efforts we would not have these incredible results.

I have been working closely with the Federal Liberal and National Coalition to deliver much needed funding to the Alpine Shire since the impact of 2019-2020 bushfires and Covid-19*.

Some of the new million-dollar projects will include, a new Myrtleford splash park, upgrading the Ablett Pavillion Function Centre and Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club, and for our smaller towns such as a Porepunkah, a new Emergency Services helipad project and Hotham Airport solar upgrade.

This is just a handful of the many local projects this funding will give rise to.

This funding boost towards numerous local projects is what keeps our communities alive and helps them recover and rebuild and get back on their feet from not only the devastating impacts of 2019-20 bushfires, but also Covid-19.

The Liberal and National Coalition continues to invest in regional Victoria, and we are grateful for this massive investment that helps our communities become much stronger.

I would also like to highlight the great work of Senator Brigette McKenzie who I work closely with on ensuring we get the best outcomes in Myrtleford, Bright, Harrietville and Mount Beauty.
