Letter to the Editor

My congratulations to the Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club which has received a $77,000 grant from the Federal Liberal National Government’s Community Sport Infrastructure Grant Program.

The funding will see the Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club upgrade its entrance and make improvements to its facilities.

Well done to all involved at this fantastic community club which has some 400 members and runs numerous well-regarded tournaments.

The Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club has a long and proud history in town, being established in approximately 1898. There are 23 top-class grass courts and four plexi-pave courts.

This grant will see the club continue to enhance its facilities and retain and attract new members and tennis players.

The investment at the Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club is part of a total $28 million for 223 projects across Australia that will increase participation in sports.
