Letter to the Editor - Wandiligong Nut Festival
Thursday 3 May 2018
My congratulations to all involved in staging this year’s Bright Autumn Festival. This event is another great attraction in North East Victoria.
On Saturday I was delighted to attend the Wandiligong Nut Festival along with many, many others, an event which forms part of the overall festival.
The weather was perfect, the food was terrific and of course the entertainment and stalls all added to such a successful day.
The Wandiligong Nut Festival celebrates local growers, the end of the harvest and the many varieties of nuts and produce available at this time of year.
The nut festival began in 2001 and started out as a local gathering and has continued to grow over the years – the crowd at this year’s festival proved how popular it now is.
Congratulations to all involved at Wandiligong and the Bright Autumn Festival – these events don’t just happen, they take a lot of work from many volunteers over a long period of time – well done.
