Nationals leader to visit Alpine Valley

Thursday 14 June 2018

Nationals Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy will host Leader of the Nationals Peter Walsh during a visit to the Alpine Valley.

Mr McCurdy said Mr Walsh would accompany him throughout the Alpine Shire on 25-26 June.

“The visit will include meetings with local industries, the Bright Chamber of Commerce and Alpine Shire Council,” Mr McCurdy said.

“Peter Walsh is a strong and passionate advocate for regional Victoria so I look forward to him speaking with representatives from our local community.”

Mr McCurdy said the public had an opportunity to meet with Mr Walsh in Myrtleford on Monday 25 June.

“I am holding a dinner and discussion with Peter Walsh that is open to the public,” he said.

“As well as being Leader of the Nationals and Deputy Leader of the Coalition, Peter is the Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Decentralisation and Regional Victoria.

“So those who attend can speak to him on matters relating to these portfolios or raise their own issues with him.

“This is a great opportunity to have a chat with Peter and tell him more about the issues impacting the Ovens Valley electorate.”

The dinner (at own cost) will be held at The Buffalo Hotel, Myrtleford on Monday 25 June from 6pm onwards, followed by a discussion with Peter Walsh from 7.15pm.

RSVP by 21 June to 5721 6155 or [email protected]
