Opportunity to help shape caravan park regulations

Wednesday 12 June 2019

The Nationals Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy is encouraging caravan park owners and users across the Ovens Valley electorate to have their say on Caravan Park Regulations.

The Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2010 are currently under review and open for consultation.

“Caravan parks are important for tourism and visitor accommodation and retirement living options in Victoria,” Mr McCurdy said.

“These regulations set out the requirements for health and wellbeing, fire safety and emergency management, registration, and construction standards for caravan parks.

“This review is an opportunity for local residents to have a say in how the new regulations are shaped to ensure the best possible outcome for our local area.”

The review has already commenced with public consultation open until 23 June 2019.
