28 May 2019, Mr McCURDY (Ovens Valley): It is a tragic day for regional Victorian communities as we discover the Andrews Labor government will increase Victoria’s debt to $50 billion, at the same time pulling the rug out from under regional communities. The $1 billion Regional Growth Fund that was introduced by Ted Baillieu and Peter Ryan has now gone. It is a sad day, as many small communities were beneficiaries from this fund. Labor pours money into Melbourne while the rural sector gets the scraps off the table.
