Tim McCurdy declared winner of Ovens Valley

Statement from Tim McCurdy:

I am humbled to have been re-elected in the Victorian State Election as the Nationals Member for Ovens Valley.

Thank you to the people of the electorate for putting your confidence in me to fight for a better deal for our region.

I’m committed to continue to work with the communities and organisations in Ovens Valley and to take the issues that are important to our region to the Victorian Parliament.

I will continue to fight for a better deal for Ovens Valley and hold the Andrews Labor Government to account for the funding priorities and projects the people of Ovens Valley voted for.

I acknowledge the other Ovens Valley candidates who ran for election, it’s not easy to put yourself forward and is not a decision that is taken lightly.

Thank you to my family and friends, the National Party leadership, members, volunteers and supporters who have given so much time and energy over the past four years and during this election campaign.

I sincerely thank all those who supported me, particularly those who worked at the booths during pre-poll and on Election Day. Your contribution was invaluable.

I look forward to continuing as a strong advocate, representing Ovens Valley in the Victorian Parliament and making sure our local voice is heard.
