Timekeeper’s box to keep Bright on time
Thursday, October 27, 2022
A Liberal and Nationals Government will commit $85,000 towards a new timekeeper’s box at Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve in Bright. A new permanent timekeeper’s box will be constructed to replace the existing mobile box, giving the local footy club, and other ground users, a more permanent method of keeping time.
Shadow Minister for Sport, Cindy McLeish, said that she was pleased to see small communities getting attention.
“It has been great to see Tim McCurdy advocating for Bright and fighting for sports in the local community.
“This is a great commitment for the Bright community and will help to provide a better standard of facilities.”
Nationals Member for Ovens Valley, Tim McCurdy, said that he was pleased to be announcing an important investment into sport in Bright.
“Bright is a beautiful town with plenty going for it. This commitment will help to expand the appeal of the ground, and also will immediately support anyone using the ground that needs timekeeping facilities.
“Having a permanent structure also gives the clubs more security and will mark another investment into the local community.”
Mr McCurdy concluded with, “Community sport is the lifeblood of regional Victoria, so I am pleased to continue my support for it.
“If elected, a Liberals and Nationals Government will deliver Bright its fair share of funding and investment.”
