Victorian Small Business Commissioner to visit Ovens Valley
Thursday 21 February 2019
Nationals Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy is encouraging business operators to take the opportunity to meet with the Victorian Small Business Commissioner during a visit to the region next week.
Mr McCurdy said two local events with Commissioner Judy O’Connell would provide valuable information to small business.
“The Commissioner’s presentations will cover topics relevant to local small business including growing business, cashflow and being paid on time, moving to digital, the impact of cybersecurity, the NBN rollout and how to use the latest data analytics tools,” Mr McCurdy said.
“She will also discuss business relationships and how to resolve any disputes without having to go to court.
“Ms O’Connell is keen to hear the key issues for local small business owners and how she can support and advocate for them. She is looking forward to meeting with local business, discussing the role of the commission and finding out more about issues facing small businesses in our region.”
The Victorian Small Business Commission is an independent government agency that advocates on issues that affect small business, ensures you understand your rights and responsibilities and helps avoid or resolve disputes.
