Local football and netball clubs across the Ovens Valley can now apply for much-needed State Government funding to upgrade their facilities.

The Nationals Member for Ovens Valley, Tim McCurdy, is encouraging all clubs, associations and umpire groups to apply for up to $250,000 through the latest round of the Country Football and Netball Program.

“This is a great opportunity for our local clubs to secure funding for important upgrades – whether that’s better change rooms, lighting, water efficiency or other key facility improvements,” Mr McCurdy said.

“Local sport is at the heart of our country communities. Strong, well-equipped clubs mean more people playing, volunteering and connecting, and that’s something worth investing in.”

Applications close Monday, 7 July 2025, and clubs must register interest through their local council.
